Meerkerk Rhododendron garden-full of wonderful rhodys and some beautiful well grown trees. the hardscape is being upgraded for easy and enjoyable access. the gate house is a wonderful surprise after driving down a typical island road . a view of Meerkerk bay is an added treaat. Heronswood garden, open days complete with plant sales listed in events. this garden is well designed , with plants gathered by Dan Hinkley. walking tour parks

impossible to list are all the wonderful small parks that grace the city of portland. I spent a few days in the Pearl district a couple of years ago and had wonderful visual experience checking out some of the small outdoor areas. one had a wonderful rain garden theme, there are incredible fences, wonderful plants enchanting and fun fountains. I was with my daughter we each found some. this will take a little research but the rewards are memorable
